President Coolidge DVD

1942 and the Pacific war was raging. The 22,000 ton American troopship, President Coolidge loaded with thousands of home bound troops slammed into two mines in the harbour of Espiritu Santo in Vanuatu. Salvage master Ian Lockley designed a unique four man submersible diving chamber. Working at depths down to 200' on air, risked life and limb to remove 600 tons of oil. This film by Lynton Diggle won first prize and plaque at the 18th Los Angeles International Underwater Film Festival in 1980. The Coolidge is possibly one of the Pacifics best known shipwreck. Running time 26 minutes. Available in PAL format only.
